Join us on Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm for our PCBA Business After Hours Speaker Series.
We are honored to have Alex Wright, City Council Post 3/ District 3 and Ora B. Douglas City Council Post 5 / At Large join us to provide updates and discuss the the State of the City of Peachtree Corners.
Come hear from two of our City Council as they discuss key initiatives that are made possible through the collaboration between businesses, residents, staff, and community partners. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy business networking and enjoying a fireside chat with two of our City Council.
Alex Wright is a founding member of the Peachtree Corners City Council. First elected in 2012, he has been re-elected three more times, most recently in 2023. One of his passions while on Council has been the creation and continued enhancement of the Town Green area, particularly Fort Pain, the adult obstacle course. Alex helped begin both the Peachtree Corners Decathlon and the Memorial Day Challenge which are annual physical fitness competitions held at Fort Pain.
Ora B. Douglass was elected as the first African American female Councilwoman in November 2023. She is a resident of Peachtree Corners for over 25 years, Ora is very dedicated to and passionate about community service and is a veteran commissioned officer of the US Army Nurse Corps.
We will be awarding a check that evening to Furkids, one of our outstanding local charities who supports our community. Furkids, headquartered in Georgia, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and Sadie’s Place, a no-kill shelter for dogs.We are excited to have an evening of great conversations, business networking, a variety of beverages and great food.
