Peachtree Corners Business Association donates $500 check to Because One Matters

The Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) awarded a check for $500 to Because One Matters at our May 18, 2023 PCBA Business After Hours Speaker Series Event!

Because One Matters is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to positively influence the trajectory of foster children and young adults from economically disadvantaged communities, providing hope, dignity, empowerment, mentorship, and economic opportunity to foster children and young adults from economically disadvantaged communities.  The work of Because One Matters is equipping, connecting and advocating for our most vulnerable – our children and young adults.

These funds will be used for the Because One Matters to Support their Splash & Dash Fun Day on Sat, July 29th at Coolray Field and their Wrapped in Love Foster Closet to allow foster parents and parents from underserved households to shop (free) for new and gently used clothing items.  The Wrapped in Love Closet aims to provide the children we serve with the gift of hope for a better future and show them that their community supports and loves them.

“The PCBA is proud to donate a check to provide the basic necessities for local foster children and their families.  Our Outreach Committee and Board are impressed with their mission and their ability to provide hope to these families for the future.  The  PCBA continues to find ways to engage and bring our business and community together", says Lisa Proctor, PCBA President. 

Funds for the PCBA Community Outreach program are raised throughout the year from PCBA membership, sponsorship, and our annual charity event.  Donations and scholarships are awarded at our monthly events so our members have the opportunity to learn more about these organizations.
