Peachtree Corners Business Association Business After Hours Networking - Thursday, March 26, 2026

Join us on Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm for our PCBA Business After Hours Speaker Series.
We are honored to have Alex Wright, City Council Post 3/ District 3 and Ora B. Douglas City Council Post 5 / At Large join us to provide updates and discuss the the State of the City of Peachtree Corners

Alex is a founding member of the Peachtree Corners City Council. First elected in 2012, he has been re-elected three more times, most recently in 2023. One of his passions while on Council has been the creation and continued enhancement of the Town Green area, particularly Fort Pain, the adult obstacle course. Alex helped begin both the Peachtree Corners Decathlon and the Memorial Day Challenge which are annual physical fitness competitions held at Fort Pain.
Alex served four years as an officer in the U.S. Navy making multiple deployments overseas to Somalia and the Persian Gulf aboard USS El Paso and USS Briscoe.
He holds a B.S. in Management from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Wake Forest. He is also a 2016 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett.
After a 25-year career in corporate finance, the last eleven as a divisional CFO of a large consumer products company, he recently founded Burn the Ships Financial, a business advisory firm focused on helping small to medium size businesses.
Alex was a founding member of the Peachtree Corners Veterans Association (and a current board member), a current board member of Peachtree Corners Arts and was a youth sports coach for nearly 20 years.
A Georgia native, Alex and his wife, Loreen, have lived in the River Place neighborhood of Peachtree Corners since 2003. He has four children – Pearson, Madlyn (husband Austin Deaver), Colin (a Junior at Georgia Tech) and Michael (a Freshman at Georgia College).

A resident of Peachtree Corners for over 25 years, Ora B. Douglass was elected as the first African American female Councilwoman in November 2023.
Ora is a retired registered nurse who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida A&M University and a Master of Nursing Administration Degree at Emory University. Ora is a veteran commissioned officer of the US Army Nurse Corps.
She has worked at numerous hospitals in the Atlanta area including Emory University, Grady Hospital, and Northside Hospital as VP of Quality and Risk Management, she served as Director of Community Home Based Nursing at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ora is very dedicated to and passionate about community service. In 2014, Ora led a group of members in chartering the Psi Omega Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Chapter in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, where she served as President for over four years.
In 2016, Ora established The Georgia Pearls of Service (GPOS) Foundation in Peachtree Corners, where she currently serves as the group's President.
Both organizations provide community service in Peachtree Corners and fundraise annually to provide scholarships to high school students and donations to selected community service organizations.
Ora also serves on the Board of the Robert D. Fowler YMCA and is a member of the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club.
Ora is married to Dr. Adrian Douglass, and they have four children and 3 grandchildren.
We will be awarding a check that evening to one of our outstanding local charities who supports our comminity.
