  • Peachtree Corners Business Association Donates $500 to Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation Supporting Concussion Research and Health

The Peachtree Corners Business Association awarded a check for $500 to Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation at our March 2024 Business After Hours Speaker Series networking event!

The Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation was incorporated in 1989 to support Gwinnett Medical Center by funding programs, services and capital expansion projects through charitable contributions. As a private not-for-profit 501( c )( 3 ), the GMC Foundation enables people from all walks of life to come together and give of their time, money and talents to strengthen our healthcare system.  The priorities for giving include Human Performance & Improvement, Transformative Technology & Equipment, and Research & Rediscovery.

“The PCBA is proud to donate a check for $500 to the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation in support of the Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute - Sports Medicine and Concussion programs in their efforts to improve the health of those suffering from head injuries and concussions.", says Lisa Proctor, PCBA President.

    "
Our Outreach Committee and Board are impressed with the programs and resources available in our community to understand, minimize and treat head injuries and concussions.  We were interested to learn about Guardian Sports and their innovations in developing athletic equipment to minimize injuries and the Concussion Institute's continuous strides in healthcare to understand and treat anyone who may be impacted by a head injury.   With the PCBA's continuous commitment to supporting our community in a meaningful way, we are excited to be a part of supporting the success of theses organizations", says Lisa Proctor.

Funds for the PCBA Community Outreach program are raised throughout the year from PCBA membership, sponsorship, and our annual charity event.  Donations and scholarships are awarded at our monthly events so our members have the opportunity to learn more about these organizations.
